Our client is a major international producer of metalworking fluids for over 60 years. Their products are used in a wide range industrial processes for cutting and grinding operations. They have a reputation for superior performance within such industries as automotive, aerospace, medical equipment etc.
As part of the company’s international growth strategy they are currently seeking to hire a
Business Development Manager, Germany
Who will report to the European Director of Sales and be responsible for the continued growth of the distribution network for the full range of the company’s products through the recruitment and management of a distribution network throughout Germany. The emphasis is on the growth of the Germany distribution network although occasionally international business development might be required.
The successful individual serves as the sales professional within Germany for our client and will develop business, define opportunities, and develop new channels to market such as distributors, integrators, machine tool builders etc.
He/she will provide technical sales support for the company’s products to both new and existing accounts. The successful candidate is likely to have a technical education, ideally with a further degree although this is not mandatory. They will already have, or will become knowledgeable of the German market situation including competitor activity,their new product development etc.
The candidate we seek will have high drive with strong self motivation, be strongly results oriented and have a strong entrepreneurial attitude with well developerd self initiative. They will be able to demonstrate a proven sales development track record within a well respected organisation with at least 5 years successful channel sales experience in this or similar sector.
We seek candidates who thrive on challenge and can operate effectively in an environment of variety and change and who can operate on both short and long term projects – a self starter who can initiate projects and make independent decisions without close supervision. He/she will be able to communicate effectively, handle both small and large projects and will be a self confident, professional with high personal ethical standards.
The position is home based but a location within central Germany would be advantageous.
