Our client is a highly specialized and global operating Battery Energy Storage Systems provider and manufacturer of Li-Ion Batteries (BESS). They serve broad applications in utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) sectors.
Remote location in Germany
Potential candidates must have Sales expertise in C&I and / or utility-scale, residential expertise only will be insufficient
Role and Responsibilities
- Accelerate sales growth and market penetration, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Lead and coordinate designated sales representatives across different countries, providing strategic direction for top customers and projects in collaboration with the Senior Sales Director
- Provide technical expertise and strategic insights to support sales efforts
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and media engagements
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Define the R&D roadmap based on commercial potential, feasibility, and usefulness
- Establish the development strategy for hardware and software technologies
- Collaborate with the R&D Director of the division and the R&D Manager of CES, who leads the electrical, software, and test engineering teams
- Oversee and ensure the timely execution of the R&D roadmap and initiatives within the company
Requirements
- Visionary Leadership, a forward-thinking professional with a proven track record of driving innovation and growth in BESS-related technology sectors
- Industry Expertise, possessing deep knowledge of the international Li-ion BESS market, its dynamics, and key players
- Business Acumen, capable of identifying market trends and transforming them into both product and non-product revenue streams
- Enthusiastic and Hands-On Approach, actively engaging with key customers, analyzing successes and setbacks, and maintaining a strong presence in the field
- Recognized Industry Figure, acknowledged as a key player within the sector
- Strategic Planning and Business Development, skilled in integrating technical and market insights into effective strategies for growth
- Analytical Skills, adept at synthesizing scattered information from various sales areas into clear, concise reports for management and R&D
- Multilingual Communication, fluent in English and German at a minimum, with the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers, from farmers to high-level executives
- Strong Presentation and Attention to Detail, an effective communicator with a keen eye for precision
- Technical Expertise, possessing a solid technical background or experience, with the ability to translate complex concepts into system requirements and features—prioritizing this over direct sales skills
