Systems Engineer for Energy Storage Systems
Location: Frankfurt
Responsibilities
- Development of Energy Storage Systems and related products
- Development, testing and qualification of Battery Monitoring and Battery Management Systems
- Installation and approval on site and installation of test systems
- Support of battery development projects especially for energy storage systems
- Up to 25% travel to customer, manufacturing and development sites.
- Actively participate in future charger and systems development
- Other Systems design and development activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or Physical Chemistry
- Masters or equivalent in electrical or electronics engineering and good or basic know-how of electrochemical energy storage systems and batteries.
- Knowledge in electrical construction (AutoCAD electrical, EPLAN)
- Experience with PLC programming (WAGO, Beckhoff, Siemens).
- Must have demonstrable programming experience in various languages and environments – e.g. C++ and Codesys.
- Knowledge of standard data busses and protocols (MODBUS, CAN, CANopen)
- Knowledge in electrochemical Energy Storage Systems, lead acid or Li-Ion batteries and inverters.
- The ability to work in a multinational team. Fluent in German and English.
- Knowledge of electrical machines, energy process engineering, power plant engineering.
- Knowledge of renewable energies, energy systems and infrastructures.
- Knowledge in electronics and power electronics system design.
- Knowledge in creating battery models.
